Ever since her childhood, classical and modern ballet have been José's passion. In her teenage years she became interested in psychology and philosophy and since then has become more engaged in self-development, increasing her awareness and enjoying the magic of the present moment. After studying Journalism and, in part Social Therapy, José worked for a few years as a therapist in various institutions in Holland. Unsatisfied with that line and method of work, she decided to look for a different and more holistic way of working with people.José started practicing yoga seriously in 2006, in Barcelona, and was greatly inspired by its potential for healing at a physical, emotional and spiritual level. She saw the possibilities of combining her interests, therapeutic and dance experiences with yoga classes. After a Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) of 200 hours Yoga Alliance (YA) in August 2006, she started teaching a mix of Hatha, Vinyasa and Vini Yoga (Yang Yoga) in Barcelona. At the end of 2006 she discovered Yin Yoga and since then, this has been her primary passion and specialization. José started teaching Yin Yoga classes in 2007.José's classes are guided in a warm, clear and hopefully humorous way, with compassion by adapting the practice where necessary to the student’s specific needs. She encourages you to experience, observe and become aware of your bodily sensations, emotions, quality of breath, intuition, thoughts and habitual patterns. Her goal is to stimulate you to discover, to strengthen and connect with your true self.José teaches mainly Yin Yoga classes, but also more dynamic styles (Hatha/Vinyasa/Vini/Power Yoga) in Amsterdam, Utrecht and Barcelona. She also offers several workshops, retreats and Yin Yoga Teacher Trainings all over Europe. We learn to bring balance and correct attitude into body and mind. We learn to move from the centre (core) of the body, not just on the mat, but also in our daily lives. Flow on the mat, creates a flow in life as well! In my classes I mix the meditative flow and breath awareness of Vinyasa Yoga, with the detailed asana technique and body awareness of the Iyengar method. That movement is important to Skadi became clear soon after she was born. She was able to walk before her first birthday and at age 6 she walked on her hands rather than her feet most of the time.A talented and successful gymnast herself, Skadi taught gymnastics to young children when she was only 14. At that time she suffered wrist injury and as a result of medical errors ended up in a long process of multiple operations. Though she kept on doing gymnastics with one arm she was unable to continue participating in competitions. The locomotor system thus became a point of special interest in her life. For her secondary school finals Skadi wrote a paper on ‘movement’, which she presented to an audience of some 100 people. Aged 18, she succeeded in engaging the entire audience in Chinese Tai Chi exercises. She continued studying Mensendieck-therapy and became a successful therapist. After working for several years Skadi grew dissatisfied with her work: it’s lack of creativity and depth. Getting involved with Yoga, she then found a method of movement, a way of life and a career that suits her perfectly. related links Delight Yoga

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a style of yoga developed by Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers. Yin Yoga combines the knowledge of Hatha Yoga with Chinese Medicine's meridians, Taoist philosophy and Buddhist meditation techniques. This practice is highly beneficial for your organs, immune system, muscles and joints. You will feel great after your practice! In this class all postures are held for 3-5 minutes, with a softer engagement of the muscles, allowing stimulation of the connective tissue of the body (the tissue surrounding all bodily structures). Yin Yoga is a great balancing practice to combine with more yang oriented practices (more vigorous practices like ashtanga, anusara, vinyasa, etc).

She has been teaching regular classes in Amsterdam and Utrecht for over 9 years and is a faculty member of the Teacher Training Program at Yoga Moves, Utrecht.Marlene leads inspirational yoga classes and has a unique ability to naturally inspire a deeper understanding of the flow of breath, movement and the mindful connections of yoga. Her teaching emphasizes on energetic alignment, creating space in the body and synchronizing movement and breath. In her classes she creates a creative flow of movements on the rythm of the breath. She teaches with a clear eye on body alignment and gives precise guidance on how to work intelligently with yoga, but also incorporates the influence of her dance training where she lets students move the body through its entire range of motion on the wave of breath. Marlene is known for her skill in sequencing and she allows everybody to join the ride. Three years ago she develloped a new class called Coreflow and she is the only teacher who introduced Core Strength Vinyasa yoga in the Netherlands. For the last two years now she has been teaching this new form of yoga which she calls Coreflow.Marlene currently lives in Amsterdam but spends her winters teaching in India/Goa where she has organized a number of yoga retreats and taught at the Brahmani yoga center in Anjuna. She thoroughly enjoys teaching yoga, connecting with her students and helping them to find their body's grace, power and essence. related links Delight Yoga

In the following year he took the 500 hrs Ashtanga Vinyasa Teacher Traning at the Brahmani Yoga Center. Taking part in this TTC was a transforming experience and after the training he stayed on to practise with Ken 'The Rolfer' (Rolfing is a form of body work). Jurre enjoyed working with Ken, who invited him to start co-teaching in Istanbul at YogaSala studio in the summer 2009. After this Jurre went back to Holland and felt the need to teach about awareness and freedom to those in between walls. So at the moment he teaches at detention centers. And also at other places, because for everybody the prison is only in the mind!

Our true home is in the present moment. To live in the present moment is a miracle. Thich Nhat HanhChantal Soeters is an Anusara-inspired® yoga teacher from Amsterdam. Anusara® yoga is a powerful Hatha yoga system, developed by John Friend, that weaves a Tantric philosophy of intrinsic goodness with intelligent biomechanical principles of alignment and a strong sense of community. Chantal fully embraces the playful , creative and uplifting nature of this form of yoga and sees yoga as a way to experience freedom in the body, mind, and heart, both on and off the mat. As Anusara yoga® helped her heal from a serious neck injury where other treatments failed, she acquired a special interest in the therapeutic benefits of yoga and the innate healing capacity of the body. In her classes, she emphasizes safety through alignment and encourages a mindful practice, while, at the same time, encouraging you to expand your boundaries and to embrace new challenges. Chantal is known for her enthusiasm, her dedication and her compassion. Her teaching style is precise, accessible and uplifting, always looking for possibility first, seeing your potential. Her classes are challenging but relaxed, serious but light-hearted, mindful but expressive. Each class will focus on empowering you by exploring a deeper connection to your heart and by learning more about the workings of your own body, helping you to transform and deepen your practice, to feel good in your body and to gain a more expansive view of life.
