About Sva-Dharma Yoga Teacher Training

An in-depth Yoga Training for those who feel the call to Be Yogis and Give Yoga to others!

Sva-dharma means literally "one's own true path(dharma)" or "one's own innate natural duty" Dharma is derived from the Sanskrit root dhr, "sustain, support, uphold," and has a wide range of meanings, including truth, cosmic law, reality, righteousness, correctness, integrity and duty. Every person has unique duties and responsibilities and this "own dharma" or Sva-dharma is unique to that person because everyone has different capacities.

Introduction

Sva-Dharma Teacher Training is born after a long ripening process of years of practice, teaching and investigating the science of the soul called "Yoga". Finally the time and conditions are ripe to give birth to Sva-Dharma Yoga Teacher Training as a product of love and compassion to help give light and guidance to our human-kind.

The goal of this training is to give direct experiential tools, keys, maps to re-awaken the body, heart and mind based on the traditional Yoga teachings. And to give back to Yoga its true place as living art and as a path to full awakening.

We are calling it "teachers training" but actually it is a "yogi training", a sacred ground to receive training, guidance and practices to become a real yogi (one who's life is dedicated to awakening). The training is an immersion in all the aspects of yoga. Students will experience directly how all the yogic practices can be woven together for deep insights into yoga as a living art and spiritual awakening, and it is from here that the true teacher arises.

A yogi (man) or yogini (woman) is someone who has journeyed deeply and consistently into their own body, heart and mind to fully reconnect to their wisdom nature, attaining full liberation. They have found their own Dharma. They are a "jiva mukti" , the final destination of yoga: a fully liberated being. In the journey back to our wisdom nature, we inevitably start sharing the path with others, as a natural result of our experience. We hold the light, we know the path, and we become spiritual guides.

We are right now living in a great time of need of spiritual guidance. This is one of the darkest periods of human civilization. People are searching within Yoga to find balance in their bodies, emotions, heart and mind and to get in contact with deeper layers of themselves. We need to find peace and light within and we need real, mature and expert spiritual guidance. This is the role of the yoga teacher today.

This is what the Sva-Dharma Yoga Teacher Training is for, to guide those who have felt the call to guide others to their inner light.
