Diving into the Ocean of Meditation

The practice of meditation has been around for over 3400 years. Earliest references to meditation are found all the way back around 1400 B.C. Buddha's birth is reported to have been in the year 624 BC, and Patanjali's birth year around 150 BC.
What makes this practice so powerful? What makes this practice be used over and over by teachers over centuries?

In this workshop we will create space to discover some essential aspects of meditation. We will demystify some ideas about this practice, as well as practice, and experience what it means to open a space for meditation to arrive. To become intimately connected to our Beings is one of the gifts of meditation. As we accept and embrace all that appears in the field of consciousness we start to observe the natural emergence of a powerful sense of Presence.

We will explore:
- Why is meditation linked to awakening or enlightenment.
- The benefits of the commitment to a single practice.
- What are the added health benefits of meditation.
- Elements of the psyche which block meditation and which stimulate mediation.

Kali has a meditation practice of 25 years and has guided hundreds of people during the last 12 years into meditation and the practice of silence. Her main intention is to introduce a meditation practice which is sustainable in daily life.
