Yoga Therapy: Focus on Lower Back

Many people suffer daily from tension in the body due to activities like driving a car, sitting and working at the computer for long hours, riding bikes or even yoga practice! As we continue these activities without understanding our bodies, we can end up with pain in our lower back.
When we move out of alignment, the natural tendency of the body is to "correct" itself and to bring it back to a neutral state. As this happens, the body can move to a situation where muscles that have cramped up to bring the body back to a healthy position cannot release anymore, resulting in structural misalignment and the inability to relax.
Anusara's Universal Principles of Alignment work deeply on a therapeutic level to bring the body and energy flow back to a state of balance.

In this special 3 hrs class you will learn the alignment that is optimal for your body. We will focus mainly on the lower back, hips and knees. Learn how to align the spine and release tension to get on your way to radiant health!
This workshop is suitable for people with back problems and for those wishing to deepen their knowledge of alignment. Open to all levels.

About Sandra Wind-Carson:
Sandra Wind-Carson is an Anusara™ Inspired yoga teacher. She discovered yoga when living in the USA. Following her Teacher training (ryt500) in 2002, she taught Vinyasa yoga there for several years. After moving to London (UK), she started training intensively with Anusara® yoga founder John Friend and Anusara teacher Bridget Woods-Kramer. With Anusara yoga she found a joy and lightness that she had not experienced before in yoga. The Heart oriented classes combined with Anusara's "Universal principles of Alignment" with the life-affirming philosophy made her passionate about this yoga! Besides training with John Friend whenever she can, she regularly trains with Dutch based Anusara teacher Jayendra Hanley, and other international teachers like Bridget Woods-Kramer, Desiree Rumbaugh, Ross Rayburn and Sianna Sherman.
